This film was planned and filmed by the members of the Tichezerane AIDS Support group, in Malawi. The group was established by the members themselves with the support and advice of GOAL Malawi. All of the members of the group live with the HIV virus. The film tells us about the group's history and the stories of some of its members, and it shows us the various activities taht the group carry out to support one another and to try to change attitudes in the wider community to the stigma of being HIV+. Participatory Video is a method of working with people to enable them to make their own film in their own words. Everyone rapidly learns how to use the camera through a series of games and activities. Finally, the group discuss, storyboard and then shoot the film themselves. This project took place over three sessions. Facilitated by Dominic Elliot and Basimenye Mwalwanda.
